7. Don L's Auto Sales & Salvage

It was their final meet-up in Euwalla . And before they got there, both of 'em was eager as kids on a Christmas mornin' , they was so lookin' forward to bein' together again.

And upwrappin' their 'presents'.

But almost from the moment they said "Hey !" things was awkward, out'a sync somehow. Little things one did, all of sudden got on the other's nerves . They got to snippin' & snappin' at each other ! Back & forth ! And neither EuEarl nor KC understood why, at the time. They didn't like what was happenin' between 'em, but they couldn't seem t'stop it happenin' either. Until, inevitably, on that hot August day , nearly two years on from when they'd first met, while ..." out lookin' for a distributor cap for KC's truck at Don L's Auto Sales & Salvage !" and over the tiniest thing,too ...came their Big Smash-Up !

6. Comin' Together

It was gradual, like molasses, their gettin' together. Over a span of two years EuEarl & KC would make their individual way to Euwalla. " Fuck buddy meet-ups . That's all !" , one of 'em once said to himself. Hell, they hadn't proclaimed feelings for one another or anything , let alone thought about living together. And that's how they meant to keep it . Yet, two or three days together alone in a motel room ... " Felt more like home than home..." after while.
They would come together. In their own way, in their own time, they were comin' together. And there'd be no partin' 'em, once they were .

5. Nothin' & Nobody

But Falling In Love was what was happening to them. Over the next two years, although they never planned any of their 'chance' meetings in Euwalla, ( The small town in Mudflap County where they'd met.) somehow they'd always manage to arrive within days of each other. And the entire time they spent together, nothin' & nobody seemed to matter or exist ! 'Cept for the two of them.

4. Not Yet

They spent the next 4 days together. Just couldn't seem to get enough of each other, too, emotionally or physically ! Neither had ever fallen in love before, though KC'd come close to it coupl'a times. " Never close enough to make 'em stick... ", he sometimes thought.
EuEarl, for his part, had always sailed alone in life. He'd always say, if & when the subject came up, " I got no use for friendships, companionships or relationships ! I'm fine with a canoe !" And up 'til now, that's how he paddled .
No. Neither was ready, just yet, to call what was happening between 'em Love.

3. Reunion'd

After that first marathon tryst, the boys went their separate ways. EuEarl back to truckin' & boredom. KC back to clown paint & horse manure. Both figured their one-night stand was just that. Ignoring how electric & alive it'd made 'em feel after years of individual numbness. That is, 'til they met up by chance, nearly a year later, in the attic of a mutual friend's home. ..And later, as they were getting re-dressed, they laughed as they realized that neither of 'em recalled the other's name from before !
