10. That First 4th of July

Their first official holiday together, as a couple, was July 4th . The nearest thing to furnishings they'd purchased , so far, was a cooler currently stuffed with several bags of ice & seemingly countless bottles of Ol' Brazos Beer, their mutual brew of choice. Furnishing their house could wait another day. Today was America's birthday & they were at the beach !

EuEarl had recently recieved, for his birthday, one of those fancy new insta-matic cameras from his mother. " Never thought I'd have any use for this", he told KC, taking it out of hs knap-sack , " Now I got you, what I need is a movie camera. "
" What ya wont a movie cam'ra fer ?", KC asked.
Despite his being older, there was much in gay life , " Life in general, maybe." EuEarl thought, that KC was totally clueless of. Oh, KC was far from dumb, he knew, but he'd spent the better part of his life withdrawn & isolated from the world & from himself, that in many ways, he was still a sort of innocent. That was one of the traits that made EuEarl love him so. All the same, he enjoyed testing the limits of KC's naive-ness. Lookin downward, he answered, " So's I could get some 'action' shots of us..." KC wore a perplexed expression. EuEarl locked eyes with him.
" Of us FUH-KIN !!" , EuEarl finished.
EuEarl waited for his cowboy's face to turn red, but KC turned the tables on him.
" Well,", drawled his new partner ,cuppin' EuEarl's crotch with his right hand & his own with his left, " I hear's in Hollywood, they does a whole lotta practicin' scenes before the cam'ras start rollin'. "
"Should'a known", EuEarl sighed, as he lay back , the rear of his head nestled in his latticed fingers, " Even you ropers have seen 'I LOVE LUCY' !"
